Neurodiversity Education
Imagine a school where every child is recognized and appreciated for who they are. That’s what KonnectED is all about. Through interactive presentations, we help K–5 students understand neurodiversity: what it means, how it shows up, and how it feels.
Empowering Kids & Communities Through Neurodiversity Education
KonnectED brings engaging, interactive neurodiversity education to K–5 students across southern California. Our mission is to help children understand what neurodiversity is using creativity and art to make these ideas accessible, memorable, and real. We focus on building awareness, empathy, and inclusion by shifting how students see differences in thinking and learning. Rather than viewing neurodivergence as something to fix, we help students recognize the strengths, perspectives, and individuality that come with it.
At its core, KonnectED is about creating shared understanding. By combining interactive learning with creative expression, we give students the tools to see that every brain works differently and that those differences are something to respect, value, and celebrate.
WHY KONNECTED
A Different Way of Learning
Art-Based Approach
We teach neurodiversity through hands-on, creative workshops that help kids see differences in a positive, tangible way. Students decorate their own “brains” using art materials, exploring how every brain works a little differently.
By the end, each child shares their unique creation, reinforcing the idea that different isn’t less, it’s simply different. We adapt how we talk about neurodiversity based on age, keeping it simple and accessible for younger students and more in-depth for older ones.
